Final Results
John “Reverse Joe Bowler” Capacio throws out the final shot of the 2012-13 MBA Senior City Tournament. Smashed 10-pin – go figure.
There were no changes to the standings and the final prize listings are available for viewing by following the links on the right. Checks are printed and will be out in the mail soon. The MBA extends a sincere thanks to our tournament sponsors for this season – Major Sponsor Capital City Coins & Jewelry; Additional Sponsors – Phoenix Pro Shop, Bowl-A-Vard Lanes, On the Spot Detailing, and Pizza Pit. Also, there was an additional $309.00 in the prize fund through the lineage discount by Viking Lanes.
The 2013-14 tournament will be held at Schwoegler Entertainment Center next season. The projected dates will be the weekends of November 2-3 and 9-10, with the Masters held on November 16. The tournament grew from 34 to 38 teams this year, so the extra available lanes at Schwoegler will be welcome. With continued growth, the MBA will strongly consider expanding the tournament to three weekends beginning with the 2014-15 tournament.
