The Madison USBC Bowling Association established the Dee Fix Memorial Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in 2017 to honor the top adult female bowler in the association age 50+. The award is in honor of the former long-time association manager who is a member of the Madison Sports Hall of Fame, the Wisconsin State Bowling Association Hall of Fame and Madison Area USBC Hall of Fame in both superior performance and meritorious service.

Additional individual achievement recognitions include the Jim Grady Memorial Award for adult men, the Dan Mack Memorial Award for senior men, the Marge Pursell Award for adult women, the Sandy Stanley Memorial Award for youth females, and the Lowell Maves Memorial Award for youth males.

The Dee Fix Memorial Award honors a Madison Area USBC bowler, at least 50 years of age as of August 1 of the current season. Bowlers earn points for top finishes and honor scores in Madison Area, State, and National Championship Tournaments, Madison Area Scratch Tour league honor scores, high individual and composite average, and league and honor scores. Additional top performances may be considered such as PBA and/or other high profile scratch events.

The top point earners are reviewed by the Adult Recognition subcommittee of the Awards and Recognition Committee, and are eligible for consideration to be the Dee Fix Senior Bowler of the Year or a member of the All City Senior Women’s Team.
