One of the most consistent champions in Madison Area USBC history, Chris Pounders has compiled 22 titles at the time of his induction, including 17 Madison Area Scratch Tour and five Association championships.

His Madison Area Open Championships record is defined by team dominance, anchoring four consecutive Team titles from 2022-23 through 2025-26. He added a Doubles crown in 2019-20, firing a 784 series in the winning effort.

On the Madison Area Scratch Tour, his 17 titles span from the 2000-01 season through 2023-24, a remarkable run of sustained excellence in both Singles and Doubles at houses throughout the area. A dozen additional runner-up finishes underscore how often he finds himself in contention.

His success has extended to the national stage, highlighted by a third-place Doubles finish at the USBC Open Championships. A remarkable scorer, he has rolled 74 perfect games and 21 series of 800 or better, topped by an 837, and was named the 2018-19 Jim Grady Bowler of the Year.

A 1998 collegiate Division I champion at Madison Area Technical College, he has built both his life and his livelihood around the lanes. He joins his father, Bill Pounders, a 2017 honoree, in the Hall of Fame. From his first frames at age five at the old Bowl-A-Vard Lanes, Chris Pounders has set the standard for consistency, longevity, and championship performance in Madison area bowling.
