The first two weekends of MBA Championship Tournament bowling are complete, with only 11 teams and 13 sets of minors competing over the first two weekends. Even so, we have 82 teams entered so far, and are a few teams ahead of the entry pace last year when we ultimately reached 109 teams.
Because of the light participation early on (deer hunting / Thanksgiving), the next two weekends are filling fast. There is already no availability over the next two Sundays.
In case you missed it, we have extended the tournament by one weekend to include December 19 and 20 – adding three squads over that weekend. There are already five teams and five sets of minors signed up for the new weekend.
Because of the tremendous interest in the first two weekends of December, we are running three sets of minors on each pair – with no switching lanes for singles. This strategy not only opened up more lanes for additional teams/minors, it will allow bowlers to continue pace from the doubles event to the singles event.
There is still room for your team to get in the tournament!!
