A powerful and prolific scorer, Brian Hoffman has stood among the Madison area’s elite competitors for a quarter century, earning ten championships; seven Madison Area Scratch Tour titles, two city crowns, and a state doubles title.
His Madison Area USBC Open Championships highlights include the 2003-04 Singles title, where his 786 series topped a field of nearly 400 bowlers, followed the next season by a Team championship with a 713 individual contribution to the winning 3,428 total. At the state level, he captured the 2008 Doubles championship with partner Rick Thomas, the year after the pair finished runner-up in 2007.
On the Madison Area Scratch Tour, he collected seven titles between 2000-01 and 2011-12 in Singles and Doubles play at centers across the region, establishing himself as a threat wherever the tour stopped.
His scoring credentials are extraordinary: 53 perfect games, a career-high 867 series, and a 235 high average – numbers that place him among the most explosive shotmakers the association has produced.
Brian Hoffman’s combination of raw scoring power and championship pedigree earns him a place among the Madison area’s finest performers. It’s a distinction that runs in the family: his brother Michael was enshrined in 2025, and Brian now stands beside him.
