The Bowler of the Year standings are updated through April 1. The Bowler of the Year award is known as the Jim Grady Memorial Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement, in honor of the former long-time association manager, who is a member of both the MBA Hall of Fame and Madison Sports Hall of Fame. The Senior Bowler of the Year award is known as the Dan Mack Memorial Award.
Members of the MBA earn points over the bowling season for league honor scores, high individual and composite average, and top finishes in the MBA Championship Tournament and MBA Masters.
The top point earners are reviewed and are eligible for consideration to be the Bowler of the Year, Senior Bowler of the Year, or a member of the first or second All-City team. Additional factors considered include performance in the Madison Area Scratch Tour, the Wisconsin State Tournaments, and USBC Open Championships.
