Visiting Madison USBC BA Houses in the Southwest – Country Side Lanes
By Jerry Wilson

This Fall President Jerry Wilson and Vice-President George Dorn visited the five bowling houses that joined the Madison USBC BA last season. A few interesting nuggets were gathered from each meet and greet visit, to be shared in these articles. Country Side Lanes, 1255 County Rd F, outside Hollandale is a ten lane house.

Country Side Lanes was built in 1977, and owned by Jason Gilbertson and his father since 1999.
Several fun, fund raising tournaments start each January. These tournaments benefit local snowmobile clubs, home talent baseball, etc. Most are 8-Pin Tap tournaments. There is also a Knights of Columbus five-person team tournament. Call Countryside Lanes for openings at
608-967-2411 (this a different telephone number than published in the Association Yearbook).

If you haven’t been to Countryside Lanes lately you should come out to hill country. They have open bowling every day except Mondays. They have certified leagues Monday and Wednesday.
