Recently President Jerry Wilson and Vice-President George Dorn visited the five bowling houses that joined the Madison USBC BA last season. A few interesting nuggets were gathered from each meet and greet visit, to be shared in this and upcoming articles.
Dodger Bowl, 318 King Street in Dodgeville, is a twelve lane house, just off Hwy 18.
Dodger Bowl runs twelve tournaments each year, two are scratch tournaments that have attracted Madison USBC BA bowlers, John Hjortland among others. They normally have open bowling Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday 11:00 am till 5:00 pm. They have a busy Friday fish fry, and having banquet facilities that serve up to 300 people they cater over 200 banquets/functions annually.
If you haven’t been to Dodger Bowl lately you should stop in. Recent upgrades include remodeled restrooms and banquet hall, and new carpeting in the bowling area.
