The Madison Area Adult / Youth Qualifier is a doubles scholarship competition to qualify for the Wisconsin State Finals. There is no family relationship requirement to participate in this event. Qualifiers are typically run in the fall and in the spring. State Finals are generally in mid-April.
Please note, there is a couple of key differences between a local and the state event.
Bowlers without an average may be assigned an average for local qualifying. At the state level, however, bowlers without a verifiable average bowl scratch (no handicap, 230 average). Verifiable averages are USBC averages of 21 or more games from the previous season, or a current season average of 12 or more games as of March 1. BCAW tournament rules, state final dress code requirements, and other information can be found on the BCAW website. Please contact the Madison Area USBC if you have questions.
Completed entry forms will be mailed to qualifiers as soon as current season averages as of March 1 can be verified. Those who have earned a paid entry will be contacted to confirm attendance.
