Gibney Fires First Supernational

Freshly minted Hall of Famer Casey Gibney led the Class of ’92 team (pictured) to an early lead for the scratch title, and are currently in first place in Team Division 1. Gibney shot 816 with games of 290, 258, and 268. The team effort of 2760 scratch was 81 pins over average. RAPP #2 holds first place in Team Division 2 at +148. Kurt Clapper led the way at +80 with a 563 set on his 161 average.

Jeff Lynch and Roger Dushack are on top of Doubles Division 2 at +100. Lynch shot 669 for +54, and Dushack rolled a 279 to complete a 673 set to go +46. The duo’s 1342 set is currently leading for the scratch title as well. Scott Noltemeyer and Terry Hansen are leading Doubles Division 2 with an outstanding +169. The 203 averaging Hansen was +151 with his 742 series.

In Singles, Scott Pliner heads the 50-54 age group at +74 off a 641 effort. Craig Overboe rolled a 683 set to go +125 and leads the 55-59 age group. In the 60-64 Division, Chuck Meier sits on top of the leaderboard after a 688 / +103 series. Patrick Yunke was +64 with a 565 and is in first place in the 65-69 division. The 70+ Singles leader is currently Hall of Famer Bob Holzbauer, at +58. Meier’s 688 is currently high scratch.

Pliner also leads All Events at +227. Kurt Clapper is tops in 55-59 at +137. Dave Loecher leads a tightly contested 60-64 Division at +67. Cliff Alt is +85 for his All Events and leads the 65-69 Division. Dave Dickson is in first place in 70+ Division 5. Terry Hansen leads all bowlers with 1997 scratch.
