2009 MBA Hall of Fame member Dave Rasmussen earns the annual Dan Mack Senior Bowler of the Year award for the 2013-14 season, and will be honored at the 43rd annual Hall of Fame and Bowler Recognition dinner on August 14.
This season, a host of senior bowlers posted excellent credentials, from the high scoring season by Dick Thomas (eight 300’s, six 800’s) to the stellar season by last years’ Dan Mack recipient, Dave Massey (two senior city titles, 2nd in Senior Masters). Jeff Richgels, Herb Kimpel, and Marc McDowell all earned spots on the All City Second team for their outstanding seasons.
But Rasmussen set himself apart by earning three Senior City titles this season, with wins in the Team event, Doubles, and All Events. His sole honor score came in that tournament with an 836 effort in Doubles en route to a 2213 All Events score. At Senior State, he placed 37th in Doubles and 67th in All Events. He booked a high average of 221 in the Senior Masters league at Bowl-A-Vard.
