The Madison Area USBC will hold an Adult/Youth Qualifier on March 9-10 at Spartan Bowl in McFarland. There will be two squads each day, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Adult Youth Qualifier Entry Form
This is a doubles tournament with a three game qualifier. Each team must be comprised of two players; consisting of one 2018-19 USBC youth member whose birth date must be 8/1/1998 or later and one adult (age 18+ and not bowling in a youth league). There is no family relationship requirement to participate in this event.
We have three divisions that match the BCAW State format, U20, U15, and U10.
1. U20 = Birth dates from 08/01/98 to 07/31/03
2. U15 = Birth dates from 08/01/03 to 07/31/08
3. U10 = Birth dates from 08/01/08 to present
4. Adult = Birth date 07/31/00 or earlier and not bowling in a youth league.
The top one out of four entries in each division will qualify for the state finals. The top score in each division will earn a paid entry to those finals. Division winners will also earn trophies and an invitation to the annual Madison Area Dinner with the Champions.
This year, the state finals are at nearby Rivers Edge Bowl in Janesville. The finals will be held the weekends of April 6-7, and 13-14.
Locally, we project to give out over $750.00 in scholarships at this event – last year, we had 58 entries and $870.00 in scholarships. At the state level, 19 youth bowlers earned a share of $3,800 in scholarships.
