Michael J. Hoffman

One of the most prolific titlists in Madison Area USBC history, Michael Hoffman has established himself as a perennial threat and champion across multiple decades of tournament play.

His remarkable tournament record includes 33 total titles at the time of induction – 22 Madison Area Scratch Tour, 10 city, and one state. Notably, he has five All Events, four Team, and one Singles title among his Madison Area USBC Open collection, where he averaged 247 while amassing those wins.

Additional honors include three Henry Hitter 3-Person Team championships, one Wisconsin Scratch Bowlers Tour title, and numerous top finishes in a variety of high level scratch competitions. His excellence has been recognized with four Jim Grady Bowler of the Year awards, cementing his status as one of the association’s elite performers.

Beyond statistics, he exemplifies the finest qualities of sportsmanship. He is fiercely determined and focused, yet gracious in both victory and defeat. His deep respect for the game and its history, combined with his role as a family man guiding the next generation, makes him an inspiring mentor for the sport.
