Derek Eoff has earned Jim Grady Bowler of the Year Honors for 2013-14.
Eoff won the MBA Masters by sweeping the finals for a second consecutive year, rolling 1091 over the four stepladder games – including a 300 game and 822 series. He finished in the top 10 in three MBA City Tournament events. He shot 685 in the team event for 11thframe.com. The team won the Scratch Division Championship with their 3386, but their scratch score was later beaten by the Division 1 White T’s (3391). Eoff shot 740 in Doubles to place fifth, with 1383. He ended up eighth in All Events with 2062.
Eoff averaged 220 in the association’s top league, the Bullseye Masters at Ten Pin Alley. He was 15 pins higher than any other on exceedingly challenging lane conditions. He added another 300 in that league.
In other bowling, he won two MAST titles, both in Doubles events. The first, which included another 300 game, was at the Lake Ripley challenge event. The second title came in the Middleton Sport Bowl tournament. In 24 MAST tournament games, he averaged 240.
At the Wisconsin State Tournament, he was runner-up in scratch Doubles and 44th in scratch All Events. Eoff shot 751 in Singles at nationals, good for 64th, and placed 51st in All Events with 2106.
