Chris Pounders won the Madison Area USBC Master this season, in a dramatic 9th and 10th frame roll-off vs. the Senior Masters Titlist Chris Gibbons. Pounders led qualifying over a record field of 62 bowlers, averaging 261.5 for six games (1569).
In tournament play, he was five for 11 in Madison Area Scratch Tour cuts, earning a runner-up finish in the Lake Ripley Doubles event. He placed fifth in points, seventh in average, and 10th in earnings.
In league play, Pounders posted the second high average in the Sport Classified Bullseye Masters League, at 221. He booked averages of 231 in the Verona High Balls league and 223 in the 5th Quarter league, both also at Ten Pin Alley.
