The Madison Area USBC invites all adult members to compete in our annual Open Championship Tournament, running weekends from January 11 through February 9, 2025, and hosted by Schwoegler’s Entertainment Center. With convenient squad times at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, bowlers can choose the schedule that works best for them.
This 100% handicapped tournament continues our tradition of inclusive competition – now across FOUR distinct divisions. Bowlers can compete in singles events based on their average, with divisions spanning from our top-tier 200+ average bowlers to our equally competitive under-179 division. Doubles teams will find their home in divisions ranging from combined 400+ averages to 359 and under, while team events accommodate groups from 1000+ to 899 and under. For our elite competitors, you can opt out of handicapped competition – a declared scratch division is available in all events.
The excitement extends beyond individual achievement with our Budweiser League Challenge, offering teams the chance to win up to $300 for their league prize fund when entering as a complete league team.
Team captains will appreciate an additional chance at victory, as Rob Bailey’s Pro Shop will award a new bowling ball to a lucky captain for every 30 team entries.
All division champions and scratch titlists will receive invitations to our annual Dinner with the Champions, celebrated in the fall of 2025. This prestigious event honors the achievement of our tournament’s finest bowlers across all divisions.
