Eoff, Pollentier, Gibbons, Breunig named Bowlers of the Year

Derek Eoff captures fifth Jim Grady Bowler of the Year award.

He posted averages of 238 and 218 (challenge – 231 converted) in league play. He rolled three 300 games, including one in challenge conditions, and a high series of 802.

In tournament play, Eoff placed second in All Events and first in Singles at the Open Championships, while also taking second in Team competition.

He added a runner-up finish at the Masters.

Eoff’s MAST performance was solid, making 5 out of 6 cuts and winning 3 titles, including the Year End Championship.

Brittany Pollentier earns fourth Marge Pursell Bowler of the Year honor.

Brittany Pollentier rolled a 300 and averaged 233 with a 230.18 composite average – both association highs.

She excelled in the Women’s Championships, placing 5th in All Events, 2nd in Singles, 5th in Doubles, and 2nd in Team competition.

In the Open Championships, Pollentier finished 19th in All Events, 56th in Singles, and 20th in Doubles.

Notably, among women competitors in the Open Championships, she ranked 1st in All Events and Doubles, 5th in Singles, and 3rd in Team.

At the Women’s State Championships, Pollentier secured 10th in All Events, 24th in Singles, and 2nd in Team.

In MAST events, she made 1 out of 5 cuts.

Cher Breunig awarded Dee Fix Bowler of the Year distinction.

Cher Breunig maintained a solid 205 average in league play and rolled one 300 game this season.

She excelled in the Senior Open Championships, finishing 7th in All Events, 47th in Singles, 5th in Doubles, and 1st in Team competition.

Among women’s series in the Senior Open Championships, Breunig dominated, ranking 1st in All Events and Doubles, 3rd in Singles, and 2nd in Team.

In the Open Championships, she placed 36th in Singles overall and performed well among women competitors, finishing 8th in All Events, 2nd in Singles, and 7th in Doubles.

Breunig also secured 23rd place in All Events at the State Women’s Championships.

Chris Gibbons claims third Dan Mack, fourth overall Bowler of the Year title.

Chris Gibbons wins his third Dan Mack, and fourth Bowler of the Year award, overall.

He posted impressive averages of 241 and 205 (challenge, 219 converted) in league play on the way to establishing the Top Composite Average in the association, 233.70. His scores included two 300 games and three 800 series with a high of 824.

He performed well in the Senior Open Championships, finishing 3rd in All Events, 19th in Singles, 2nd in Doubles, and 2nd in Team.

Gibbons also excelled in the Open Championships, placing 7th in All Events, 47th in Singles, 5th in Doubles, and 1st in Team.

At the USBC Nationals, his team finished 125th.

In MAST events, Gibbons made 4 out of 10 cuts.
