The Madison Area USBC 2021-22 Open Championships will be hosted by Bowl-A-Vard Lanes beginning January 8.

This season, there will be three weekends available, January 8-9, 22-23, and 29-30. No bowling on January 15-16. Saturday squads are 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Sunday squads are 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. As always, you can bowl team or minor events on any squad.
Didn’t bowl last year due to the pandemic? Bowlers without a 2020-21 average may use 2019-20 composite average.
Entry fees remain at $25.00 per event, optional all events are $5.00. (Lineage to the host center and the prize fee were increased last year: Prizes $13.00, Lineage $9.00, Expense $3.00)
Returning sponsors include Rob Bailey’s Pro Shop and Bowl-A-Vard Lanes. Rob will again provide Motiv bowling balls for the shift raffles and the Team Captain’s Drawing. Also returning is Budweiser to sponsor the annual Budweiser League Challenge.
All division champions and scratch titlists will be invited to the annual Dinner with the Champions, held in the fall of the following season.
The Budweiser League Challenge is a special prize fund set up to award cash prizes to bowling league who send teams to the Open Championship tournament. Teams entered whose players are all from the same league qualify and can win up to $300.00 for their league prize fund. There is $1,000.00 total in the challenge and no cost to enter – just check the box on the form. See the rules on the entry form for complete details.
Team Captain’s Drawing: All team captains are entered into a drawing for a new bowling ball from Rob Bailey’s Pro Shop. One ball will be given away for every 30 team entries. Thank you for taking the time to organize a team for the tournament. Organize eight or more teams, and skip the drawing – we’ll just give you a ball!
